A semla is a delicious pastry with whipped cream and almond paste that Swedes eat especially on a day called Fettisdagen (i.e. The fat Tuesday/ Mardis Gras), a Christian feast in the 7th week before easter.
  • Not Tuesday, but anyway

I have had a day off, and that always mean exercise. And now I am done. To make the heart beat for a while, and then some strength. Today I realised that I cannot lift so many kilos. I am talking about dumbbells. I would need more time to get stronger, but however, I am happy that I can do some push ups.

You might have noticed that I have a weakness for sweets, and today I couldn’t keep from having a semla. For balance. I don’t have semla every year, but this year I felt like having one. Usually on Tuesdays, but I couldn’t resist even though it is Friday.

  • Bellman – in the middle of the week

It is rather messy in Sweden right now since there are explosions at night time in various buildings. Fortunately, nobody has been injured. I have searched for a Bellman song. Rather early in my life I was introduced to Bellman. I got a book with some of his songs as a present from my parents. This song has a happy tone, but the lyrics is a little scary. However, death is unavoidable, and a long and healthy life is the best gift you could ever have.
