  • Intuition

Summertime is time for philosophy, because you have the time and it is easier to think in a more relaxed state. I thought of intuition today. Or maybe the so called gut feeling you should trust, or even not trust in some cases. I remember I listened to a summer radio program where a Swedish 🇸🇪military of some kind had been stationed in Bosnia-Herzegovina 🇧🇦. They were a group of a few persons and they were sent to a deserted town for patrol. It was empty. Very quiet, and suddenly one of them had a feeling that they should leave. Something felt wrong but he did not know what. And they did right. Ten minutes later a bomb exploded. Afterwards, he remembered that he had scented something in the air reminding him of explosives. That is intuition. Everything you have experienced is a memory. With a possitive or negative value, and that helps you to make unconscious decisions. For survival. The brain reward system is somehow connected to these decisions.

Interesting, don’t you agree? Or what is your opinion on intuition?

  • Walk

It has been such a sunny and nice day. I have been on a long two hours walk. Just like I did in Rome last summer. Walking. I usually never go anywhere during summer since it is so nice in Sweden, but last summer was an exception. The best time of the year. Easy living. The Corona virus makes my life a little slower. I need to plan more. And I don’t like to be in public places more than necessary. Social distancing. Lockdown. Quarantine.

I am found of sweets, and since I had time today I made my own cup cakes. Healthy but still good. And I have my lemon water. Little things in life but so important for me. Returning to five hours training per week.

  • Life in general

I have a day off and I am resting but I have also been on some exercise. Feel that I have lost some strength, but luckily, I also feel that it is easy to catch up. So I can have that soft summer ice cream and still feel good. You know what I mean, I hope.

Sometimes I can think before going to work out that it would be nice to stay at home and just relax. But then I remember that when I put my training clothes on, I get that exercise mood. A feel good mood. It is good with routines. Now I just need to remember how to make those healthy cakes I did. Tomorrow I will go for a long walk, and also, I will make cakes. For a healthy balance. Life is too short to say no to cakes! Especially blueberry cakes. Sharing some exercise reminder from Jane Fonda – 82 years old.

  • Limbo – a new legal term warranted!

Interpretations of definitions are always difficult. From what I understand this pandemic is not a force majeure. In this case, I think that we need a new expression defining a state between normal life and force majeur. A new legal term. We are living in uncertainty and there is no progress. We know this will change but we don’t know when. And we know this will happen again and then we need to be prepared. I suggest that legal authorities should define a new legal term between normal life and force majeure.

I listen to music and I miss having an ordinary training life. Tomorrow I will go for some exercise. It was a long time ago I went running and right now I don’t understand that I have been on training 4-6 hours per week. Summertime is soft jazz music, and I am sharing a song with the American singer Eva Cassidy. She passed away in cancer, and got more famous after her death. Beautiful, beautiful voice, and this song, “Son of a preacher”, is also in eg the movie Pulp fiction with John Travolta. Summertime is also movies.
