  • Photography, imaging and Hasselblad

A few words, this rainy Saturday. It is always good to have a hobby, and one of my hobbies is photographing. I don´t know much about how to have a good photo, so I have started to learn some. I have always been interested in nice images like colours, different shapes etc. Probably because it is a way of expressing yourself. But it is difficult. When I lived in Gothenburg, I got interested in Hasselblad. When I feel for it, I watch the beautiful images in the Hasselblad book I have to get inspiration.

One evening this week I went for an introduction how to handle your camera. I don´t know anything about ISO, Zoom, White balance, Noice reductions and so on, and so on. There is so much to learn. The world today is so digital, and there is a lot to keep track on. I have focused more on motive and not so much on sharpness and various picture modes etc. So, I have a great challenge ahead.

Light is important and very difficult to handle. But, I am learning. After rain there is sunshine it is said, and actually, there is sunshine outside my window now.

  • Uppsala

Right now I am in Uppsala, waiting to go to the countryside. It is like old times. Not much has changed. Nice to walk through town. Since the book I am writing is taking place in Uppsala it feels like butterflies in my stomach. Passed by libraries where I have spent hours. And, as I mentioned previously, I have returned to studies. Candy, writing and a smile. Back to old school. I am looking forward to spend this weekend with my parents and my sweetie.

  • Kandy or Candy?

It is very beautiful in Stockholm now. I have returned to mode when I used to study. That means that I need sweets. Not chocolate but sweets. Very bad habit but it helps me to keep concentrated. That is why I went to Kandy in Sri Lanka, a beautiful town close to the tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya. A town namned Kandy must be something, I thought. I had tea and a cake at a cafe called “The white house”, I remember.

I am working on my book so it feels a little like an exam. It will never be ready. And I don´t like that feeling to never be satisfied. In that case, Kandy is a very good substitute. Or maybe Candy?

  • August

Life slows down during summer. I only do exercise during weekends now. I have been sad due to Tippa, but now I have started to run since it is so nice outdoors. Wild strawberries and blueberries, and it also happens that I see some animals. Last weekend a fox appeared in front of me and disappeared at the same speed as it appeared. My sweetie cannot be with me when I run so I have her for walk after running. Her paw gets wounded if she runs, and she doesn’t´t like to have pain killers. She is always in such a good mood as you can see on the photo above. She hunts deers but she doesn’t bark when she hunts.

So, enjoy the rest of the beautiful bright days of this summer. The energy saved will definitely be needed wintertime.
