I also went to the most famous temple in Hanoi, the Temples of Literature (1070), functioning as Vietnam´s first university. It was dedicated to Confucius, a Chinese philosopher during the Ly Dynasty. Vietnam has been under Chinese suppression during many centuries, so architecture is often reflecting Chinese influences.
It was just wonderful to stroll through the gardens of the courtyards. I liked the atmosphere a lot. Animals have always served as symbols, and, again, I found a turtle. There was also this crane that you should touch, and that would bring you a lot of luck. So, I touched. I need luck.
